DB BR185.1 H0 N XL L M4

For medium freight service Bombardier Transportation of Germany developed a four-axle electric loco BR 185.1. The locos are equipped with four traction motors BAZu 8871/4 and reach a maximum speed of 140 km/h. Most of the 332 samples built between 1999 and 2005 been delivered to Deutsche Bahn AG DB.

DB BR185.2 H0 N XL L M4

For medium freight service Bombardier Transportation of Germany developed a four-axle electric loco BR 185.2. The sound of the second-generation Traxx-locos is slightly different of the first series because of electrical equipment. The locos develop 5600 kW (multi-current locos develop 4000 kW under DC catenary) and reach a maximum speed of 140 km/h.

E94 H0 N XL L M4

In the late 1930s the German DRG wanted to increase the weight of freight trains. Therefor six axle E94 had been developed. During WWII 146 samples were built. The six motor locos develop 3300 kW and reach a maximum speed of 90 km/h. After the war 44 locos were overtaken by Austrian Railway OEBB, another 23 were refitted by DR of German Democratic Republic of Germany. After building some new locos till 1956 the DB used 124 locos for heavy freight service. Sometimes the locos could be seen also more…

BR 442 / Talent 2 H0 N XL L M4

In 2008 Talbot started delivery of electric regional railcar Talent 2 (numbered as BR 442). The manufacturer offers the railcars in different length up to a maximum tractive power of 4040 kW of a six-car unit. In any composite configuration each of the 325 railcars is able to reach a maximum speed of 160 km/h.

E44/BR144 / E44.5/BR144.5 H0 N XL L M4

In 1932 German Deutsche Reichsbahn-Gesellschaft DRG received 1st of 174 samples of four-axle electric loco E44. The four motors delivered 2200 kW and enabled the E44 to reach a maximum speed of 90 km/h. The reliable locos rested in service at DB until 1985, last DR locos quitted service in 1991. For electric service on Bavarian mountain line Freilassing – Berchtesgaden DRG ordered eight samples of electric E44.5. The four-axle four-motor loco developed 2000 kW and reached a maximum speed of 90 more…

BR 111 H0 N XL L M4

Electric loco 111 of Deutsche Bundesbahn DB was purchased for fast passenger service on main lines. The four traction motors develop 3620 kW and enable the loco to reach 160 km/h. For consist use with heavy Intercity trains some locos received new pantographs. Some years ago all of the locos were given to DB Regio for push-pull operation.

BR193 - Vectron Last Mile H0 N XL L M4

In 2010 Siemens presented new Vectron family as successor for successful Taurus locos. The customer has the choice between four electric and one diesel electric versions. The locos develop 5200 kW (DC version) or 6400 kW (single AC, DC+AC version). Depending on gear ratio the locos reach a maximum speed of 160 or 200 km/h. For shunting service on non-electric tracks users can buy a Diesel Power Module with a 180 kW diesel motor.
