SBB Ee 3/3 N XL L M4

Between 1928 and 1956 the Swiss State Railway (SBB) had received 106 samples of side rod equippes electric shunting locomotives of Class Ee 3/3. The different series differ externally very much, but drivetrain is quite close. The tree axle locomotives reach a maximum speed of 40 (1st series) and 50 km/h (5th series ).

SBB RABe 511 N XL L M4

For regional service with short stop distance Swiss SBB ordered 74 electric railcars KISS in 2012. Also German ODEG und Westfalenbahn, Luxemburg CFL, Swiss BLS and Austrian Westbahn ordered trains. The trains consist out of three (CFL), four (ODEG, SBB, BLS), or six (SBB, Westbahn) cars and reach a maximum speed of 160 km/h (Westbahn 200 km/h).

SBB RBDe560 / NPZ-Domino N XL L M4

Between 1984 and 1996 Swiss State Railway SBB had ordered 134 Units of electric railcar RBDe 4/4 (later called RBDe 560 NPZ Domino). For adding capacity two rebuilt coaches EW I or EW II were put between the new end cars. The motor car delivers 1650 kW and reaches a maximum speed of 140 km/h.

SBB Re 4/4 II N XL L M4

During 21 years Swiss State Railway SBB ordered 276 samples of four axle electric loco Re 4/4 II. The four motor units develop 4700 kW and reach a maximum speed of 140 or 125 km/h depending on gearing. During the 1990 the locos were renumber for Re 420 and Re 421.

SBB Re 6/6 / Re620 N XL L M4

Swiss State Railways SBB ordered 89 samples of heavy electric locomotive Re 6/6. Each of the three trucks has two traction motors. The loco delivers 7850 kW and reaches a maximum speed of 140 km/h. Today the dependable locos are use in heavy passenger and freight train service, often on famous Gotthard route.

SJ Da N XL L M4

Between 1952 and 1957, the Swedish State Railways SJ procured a total of 93 examples of the Da for use in front of passenger and freight trains. The rod-driven three-coupler with jackshaft is based on the proven D series. After a few years of operation, the spoked wheels were replaced by rubber-sprung models, which significantly improved handling up to higher speeds. SNCB/NMBS HLE 13 N XL L M4

For service under 3 kV DC and 25 kV AC catenary Belgian State Railway SNCB and CFL of Luxembourg ordered multi-purpose electric loco at Alstom in 1998. The locos develop 5000 kW and reach a maximum speed of 200 km/h. The 60 Belgian locos are classified as HLE 13, the CFL numbered them Class 3000.

Between 1984 and 1987, the Belgian State Railways SNCB/NMBS purchased 60 samples of the HLE 27 electric multi-purpose locomotive for the 3kV DC net. The four-axle locomotives produce 4380 kW and reach a top speed of 160 km/h and initially hauled almost exclusively inter-city trains.
