FO/MGB Deh 4/4 I/Deh 4/4 II H0 N XL L M4

In 1972 Swiss narrow gauge Railway Furka-Oberalp-Bahn FO received five four axle electric locos with luggage compartment. The four motor locos developed 1032 kW and reached a maximum speed of 60 km/h in adhesion drive and 30 km/h using rack drive.

Ge 4/4 I H0 N XL L M4

The Rhetian Railway (RhB) of Switzerland ordered 10 four axle electric locos Ge 4/4 for the meter gauge Stammnetz at SLM in 1947. The 1184 kW locos reach a maximum speed of 80 km/h and are used for passenger and freight service.

The Rhetian Railway (RhB) of Switzerland ordered 23 four axle electric locos Ge 4/4 for the meter gauge Stammnetz at SLM in 1973. The 1700 kW locos reach a maximum speed of 90 km/h and are used for passenger and freight service.

Ge 6/6 I H0 N XL L M4

The Ge 6/6 I of the Rhetian Railways (RhB) of Switzerland are nick named rhetian crocodiles. 1922 the first of 15 locos entered service. The side rod equipped Ge 6/6 had been the strongest narrow gauge loco of its time and delivered 1024 HP. With its maximum speed of 55 km/h the locos were even used for famous Glacier Express. Today two locos are kept for traction of museum trains.

In the late 1950s the narrow gauge Rhetian Railway (RhB) of Switzerland recommended stronger locos for haevy freight and passenger service. After a pre-series of two six axle locos (#701 and #702) the RhB ordered a series of five more locos (#703 - #707) that show differences in front design. Technical equipment of the locos is the same. In 2010, a new era started with the year´s summer timetable among RhB´s rolling stock: the first 15 copies of the three-part “Allegra” dual-voltage railcars, ordered from Stadler, replaced some of the locomotives which had seen better days.

RABDe 500 / ICN H0 N XL L M4

For Inter-City service on curved routes Swiss State Railway SBB ordered 44 ICN high speed trains. The tilting trains deliver 5200 kW and reach a maximum speed of 220 km/h. In cross border service the trains operate also in Germany.

Swiss Rhetian Railway (RhB) received six samples of four axle electric railcar ABe 4/4 III. The railcars develop 1016 kW and reach a maximum speed of 65 km/h. For traction of longer trains the Abe 4/4 III can operate with older ABe 4/4 II or dual mode locos Gem 4/4.
