BR132 DR/BR232 N XL L M4

The most famous East German diesel loco is the 132. The six axle diesel electric loco is nicknamed “Ludmilla” by train fans. 709 samples of the 3000 HP locos had been delivered by Lokomotivfabrik Woroschilowgrad in Lugansk (Soviet Union today Ukraine) between 1973 and 1983 to the Deutsche Reichsbahn (DR). For Passenger service on main and secondary lines Prussian State Railway KPEV ordered 114 samples of battery electric railcar AT 3/09 – AT 3/12. The two motors develop 63 kW each and enabled the cars to reach a maximum speed of 80 km/h.

VT 69 N XL L M4

In 1926 German Deutsche Reichsbahn-Gesellschaft (DRG) received nine diesel mechanic rail cars for passenger service. The side rod equipped railcars developed 175 HP and reached a maximum speed of 65 km/h. please note: another 5 airhorns are selectable via CV48)

Lint 27 N XL L M4

For contemporary commuter and branch line passenger service DB ordered 30 samples of diesel mechanic rail cars Alstom-LHB Lint 27 in 1999. The tognum six cylinder engine delivers 428 HP and reaches a maximum speed of 120 km/h.

BR 75.1-3 / Badische VI b N XL L M4

German Badische Staatsbahn ordered 173 samples of 2-6-2 tank engine IV b for steep grades of Black Forrest lines. The two cylinder locos developed 540 HP and reached a maximum speed of 80 km/h.

BR 66 (DB) N XL L M4

The BR 66 had been a completely new design of Deutsche Bundesbahn in 1955. The two cylinder loco developed 1170 HP and reached a maximum speed of 100 km/h. It showed an excellent acceleration and tractive power but as DB switched motive power to diesel and electrics only two samples are built.

BR 614 N XL L M4

In 1971 German Federal Railway DB ordered 42 sampels of triple dieselhydraulic railcar VT 614. A MAN diesel motor D 3650 HM 12 U in both of the cab cars developed 331 kW at 2150 rpm. The railcars reached a maximum speed of 140 km/h and were sold or scrapped until 2010.
