BR 442 / Talent 2  LokSound V4.0 European Soundfiles H0 N XL L M4

In 2008 Talbot started delivery of electric regional railcar Talent 2 (numbered as BR 442). The manufacturer offers the railcars in different length up to a maximum tractive power of 4040 kW of a six-car unit. In any composite configuration each of the 325 railcars is able to reach a maximum speed of 160 km/h.

In 1913 Swiss narrow gauge Rhaetian railway RhB ordered seven samples of small electric loco Ge 2/4. The locos are equipped with side rods and deliver 228 kW. For additional tractive effort, RhB increased power up to 450 kW at two locos. So the maximum speed increased from 45 to 55 km/h.

The regional railcars in the 426 series are used throughout the DB AG network. The 426 railcar has two units and achieves a maximum speed of 160 km/h. The two final bogies are driven, and the central Jacobs-type bogie is not driven. The total installed power is 1,175 kW. When the railcar is braked, electrical energy can be fed into the mains and the released heat can be used for heating purposes.

In the late 1930s the German DRG wanted to increase the weight of freight trains. Therefor six axle E94 had been developed. During WWII 146 samples were built. The six motor locos develop 3300 kW and reach a maximum speed of 90 km/h. After the war 44 locos were overtaken by Austrian Railway OEBB, another 23 were refitted by DR of German Democratic Republic of Germany. RhB ABe 4/4 II  LokSound V4.0 & LokPilot V4.0 for Factory Equipped Locomotives N XL L M4

Since nearly 50 years Swiss narrow gauged Rhaetian Railway (RhB) uses their four axle electric railcars ABe 4/4 II. Four traction motors deliver 940 HP and enables the railcars to reach a maximum speed of 65 km/h. Four of the nine cars are still in use, two of them can be seen daily with nearly any kind of train.

Swiss Rhetian Railway (RhB) received six samples of four axle electric railcar ABe 4/4 III. The railcars develop 1016 kW and reach a maximum speed of 65 km/h. For traction of longer trains the Abe 4/4 III can operate with older ABe 4/4 II or dual mode locos Gem 4/4.
