SBB Bm6/6  LokSound V4.0 European Soundfiles H0 N XL L M4

For shunting service Swiss State Railway SBB ordered 14 samples of two motor diesel electric loco Bm 6/6. The locos develop 956 kW and reached a maximum speed of 75 km/h.

SBB Ee 3/3  LokSound V4.0 European Soundfiles H0 N XL L M4

Between 1928 and 1956 the Swiss State Railway (SBB) had received 106 samples of side rod equippes electric shunting locomotives of Class Ee 3/3. The different series differ externally very much, but drivetrain is quite close. The tree axle locomotives reach a maximum speed of 40 (1st series) and 50 km/h (5th series ).

FO/BVZ HGe 4/4 I  LokSound V4.0 European Soundfiles H0 N XL L M4

In 1929 Swiss narrow gauge railway Visp-Zermatt-Bahn VZ received five samples of four axle electric HGe 4/4 I. In 1939 a sixth, slightly improved loco followed. The locos were made for adhesion track (maximum speed 50 km/h) and cograil use (25 km/h).

FO/BVZ HGe 4/4 II  LokSound V4.0 European Soundfiles H0 N XL L M4

For passenger service on narrow gauge lines with cograil sections Swiss State Railway SBB ordered 21 samples of four axle electric locos HGe 4/4 II. When operating on cograil tracks maximum speed is limited on 40 km/h, on adhesion lines are 100 km/h permitted. The locos pull for example the famous Glacier Express.

FO/MGB Deh 4/4 I/Deh 4/4 II  LokSound V4.0 European Soundfiles H0 N XL L M4

In 1972 Swiss narrow gauge Railway Furka-Oberalp-Bahn FO received five four axle electric locos with luggage compartment. The four motor locos developed 1032 kW and reached a maximum speed of 60 km/h in adhesion drive and 30 km/h using rack drive.

BLS Ae 6/8  LokSound V4.0 European Soundfiles H0 N XL L M4

For heavy freight and passenger service on famous Loetschberg-Bahn of Switzerland BLS ordered four samples of 2-6-6-2 electric locos Ae 6/8 in 1939. The motors develop 4400 kW and enable the locos to reach a maximum speed of 100 km/h.

RhB ABe 8/12  LokSound V4.0 European Soundfiles H0 N XL L M4

In 2010, a new era started with the year´s summer timetable among RhB´s rolling stock: the first 15 copies of the three-part “Allegra” dual-voltage railcars, ordered from Stadler, replaced some of the locomotives which had seen better days.
The powerful and air-conditioned ABe 4/8 3501-3515 can be either used on the main line´s AC system or the DC-powered “Bernina” line.
With further procurements, the operational concept of locomotive-drawn trains has changed with the exception of the Albula more…

RhB ABe 4/4 II  LokSound V4.0 & LokPilot V4.0 for Factory Equipped Locomotives N XL L M4

Since nearly 50 years Swiss narrow gauged Rhaetian Railway (RhB) uses their four axle electric railcars ABe 4/4 II. Four traction motors deliver 940 HP and enables the railcars to reach a maximum speed of 65 km/h. Four of the nine cars are still in use, two of them can be seen daily with nearly any kind of train.

RhB ABe 4/4 III  LokSound 5 factory equipped sounds N XL L M4

Swiss Rhetian Railway (RhB) received six samples of four axle electric railcar ABe 4/4 III. The railcars develop 1016 kW and reach a maximum speed of 65 km/h. For traction of longer trains the Abe 4/4 III can operate with older ABe 4/4 II or dual mode locos Gem 4/4.

RhB Schöma Tm2/2 111-114  LokSound 5 factory equipped sounds N XL L M4

To modernize the shunting operation, the Rhaetian Railway RhB ordered ten diesel-hydraulic shunting tractors from the German manufacturer Schöma. The vehicles are very similar to the 420 CT 4H type purchased from RACO from 1991. The RhB put the Schöma tractors into operation between 2001 and 2004 as the Tm 2/2 with track numbers 111 to 120. The first four two-axle vehicles designated by the manufacturer as type DFL-250 DCL are powered by a six-cylinder N14 Cummins diesel engine with an more…
