SNCF A1AA1A 62000 N XL L M4

1946 french state railway SNCF ordered 100 samples of diesel electric shunting locomotive 040 DA (later A1A A1A 62000) at Baldwin locomotive works. With its maximum speed of 96 km/h the locos also succeeded in freight service on main lines. Railway men nicknamed the class Yayas. The 6 cylinder 606 NA prime mover developed 660 HP at 625 rpm.

Wismarer Schienenbus N XL L M4

In the early 1930s the German Waggonfabrik Wismar developed a small two motor railcar. Each of the two motors develop 50 HP at the cars with 4000 mm wheelbase and 90 HP at the longer ones with 6000 mm wheelbase. The railcars reach a maximum speed of 60 km/h.

SBB Bm6/6 N XL L M4

For shunting service Swiss State Railway SBB ordered 14 samples of two motor diesel electric loco Bm 6/6. The locos develop 956 kW and reached a maximum speed of 75 km/h.

BR247-Vectron DE N XL L M4

Based on the electric Locos of Vectron locomotive family, Siemens developed a diesel electric version called Vectron DE. The diesel motor MTU 16V 4000 R 84 develops 2400 kW and enables the loco to reach a maximum speed of 160 km/h.

SBB Bm 4/4 N XL L M4

For replacement of old fashioned steam shunters Swiss State Railway SBB ordered 46 samples of diesel electric four axled Bm 4/4. The 12 cylinder diesel develops 620 kW and enables the loco to reach a maximum speed of 75 km/h.

VT135 / VT70.9 N XL L M4

German Deutsche Reichsbahn-Gesellschaft (DRG) received 64 samples of 2-axle diesel railcar VT 135 061-064, 067-076 and 083-132. After WW II DB renumbered them for VT 70.9, DR for BR 186. The 6 cylinder diesel prime mover enabled the railcar to reach a maximum speed of 75 km/h.

SNCB NMBS HLD77 / HLR77 N XL L M4

In 1990 four axle shunting locomotive HLD 77 debuted at Belgian State Railway SNCB. The loco bases on G1205 class of German MaK. The Belgian prime mover diesel motor 6DZC-1000-144A develops 1150 kW and enables the loco to reach a maximum speed of 100 km/h. SNCB uses the locos for heavy yard service and for traction of freight trains.

SNCB NMBS HLR73 N XL L M4

Between 1965 and 1974 Belgian State Railway SNCB ordered 95 samples of tree axle side rod switchers Reeks 73. The ABC six cylinder traction motors T695 SA deliver 550 kW and enable the loco to reach a maximum speed of 60 km/h.

V15 / BR101DR N XL L M4

In 1968 Deutsche Reichsbahn of GDR (DR) received first samples of side rod diesel hydraulic shunting loco V23. The diesel motor ER 6 VD 18/15-1 SRW of Motorenwerk Johannisthal delivered 220 HP and enabled the loco to reach a maximum speed of 37 km/h. In 1968 the locos were renumbered for 101, after foundation of DB AG the locos were classified as 311.
