ÖBB Cityjet/Ventus N XL L M4

The Cityjet and Ventus are electric railcars of the Austrain Railways ÖBB and Raaberbahn. The Cityjet and Ventus were build as 4744 series for regional transport and 4746 (only Cityjet) for S-Bahn operating. the maximum speed is 160 km/h.

PKP EN57 N XL L M4

Between 1963 and 1993, the Polish PKP procured 1412 samples of the three-part electric multiple unit EN57 for the 3kV direct current network. The four traction motors in the middle car have an output of 580 kW and accelerate the train to 110 km/h. The technically largely identical series differ from the outside in some cases considerably. After 20 multiple units delivered from the factory as four-car units and designated as EN71, the PKP converted 30 more into four-car units. Manufacturer more…

PKP EU07/EP07 N XL L M4

In 1965 the polish Pafawag built English Electric design Class 83 in license as classified by the Polish State Railway (PKP) as EU07. Between 1965 and 1994 total 489 samples devided into two externally slightly different series left the factory. The four motor four axle locos (traction motor type EE541) deliver 2080 kW and reach a maximum speed of 125 km/h (with different gearing 140 km/h). Some locos are still in use at PKP.

RABDe 500 / ICN N XL L M4

For Inter-City service on curved routes Swiss State Railway SBB ordered 44 ICN high speed trains. The tilting trains deliver 5200 kW and reach a maximum speed of 220 km/h. In cross border service the trains operate also in Germany.

RhB ABe 4/4 III 51-56 N XL L M4

Swiss Rhetian Railway (RhB) received six samples of four axle electric railcar ABe 4/4 III. The railcars develop 1016 kW and reach a maximum speed of 65 km/h. For traction of longer trains the Abe 4/4 III can operate with older ABe 4/4 II or dual mode locos Gem 4/4.

RhB ABe 8/12 N XL L M4

In 2010, a new era started with the year´s summer timetable among RhB´s rolling stock: the first 15 copies of the three-part “Allegra” dual-voltage railcars, ordered from Stadler, replaced some of the locomotives which had seen better days.
The powerful and air-conditioned ABe 4/8 3501-3515 can be either used on the main line´s AC system or the DC-powered “Bernina” line.
With further procurements, the operational concept of locomotive-drawn trains has changed with the exception of the Albula more…

RhB ABe4/4 II 41-49 N XL L M4

Since nearly 50 years Swiss narrow gauged Rhaetian Railway (RhB) uses their four axle electric railcars ABe 4/4 II. Four traction motors deliver 940 HP and enables the railcars to reach a maximum speed of 65 km/h. Four of the nine cars are still in use, two of them can be seen daily with nearly any kind of train.
