V36 Doppeltes Lottchen / MWM  LokSound 5 European Sound files N XL L M4

In 1938 German „Wehrmacht“ received first samples of three-axle shunting locos for service in military facilities. The units were powered by six-cylinder diesel MWM RHS235S or KHD V6M436. The side rod equipped locos reached a maximum speed of 55 km/h at 700 rpm. For traction of heavy trains all locos were equipped with a double-unit-control. For those consists two units were coupled back-to-back and the throttles were connected by shaft. After WW II both German state railways overtook several more…

ÖBB 2016 Hercules / ER20  LokSound 5 European Sound files N XL L M4

Between 2002 and 2011 manufacturer delievered 181 samples to ÖBB and several european private owners. The MTU 16 V 4000 R41 develops 2000 kW and enables the loco to reach a maximum speed of 140 km/h.

F5 enables the heavy load mode: The diesel notch is always one up compared with normal operation. If you want to jump two notches, simply set CV 104 to 170 (instead of 150).

Rumanian State Railway CFR ordered six samples of diesel electric 060 DA loco at Swiss SLM. After successful testing Rumanian Electroputere started licensed mass production of 2490 samples. Sulzer diesel prime mover 12 LDA 28 develops 1900 HP at 750 RPM. The six electric motors speed the six axle loco up to 100 km/h. The locos were delivered to Rumanian CFR, PKP of Poland, BDZ of Bulgary, Chinese Railway and FER of Italy. German private railway KEG bought 23 locos second hand from CFR and used more…
