BR 66 (DB)  LokSound 5 factory equipped sounds N XL L M4

The BR 66 had been a completely new design of Deutsche Bundesbahn in 1955. The two cylinder loco developed 1170 HP and reached a maximum speed of 100 km/h. It showed an excellent acceleration and tractive power but as DB switched motive power to diesel and electrics only two samples are built.

Between 1915 and 1918, the Reichseisenbahnen Elsass-Lothringen (EL) procured a total of 27 examples of the 1140 hp Prussian tank locomotive T18. After the First World War, 26 of these were transferred to the now French successor railway Chemins de Fer d'Alsace et de Lorraine (A.L.) while retaining the original numbers. In order to replace uneconomical old worn out locomotives in shunting service, the Deutsche Reichsbahn-Gesellschaft DRG also included a shunting locomotive with an axle load of 18 t in the Einheitslok program. From 1928 the DRG put 39 copies of the 575 hp three-coupler into service. After the Second World War, 21 machines remained with the DR and 17 locomotives with the DB.
