In early 1950s young German Federal Railway (DB) introduced four axle two motor dieselhydraulic V200. The loco is powered by two 12 cylinder 1100 HP diesel made by Daimler-Benz, MAN or mostly a MD650 made by Maybach. For use in passenger service all locos received steam heating equipment by Hagenuk. With its maximum speed of 140 km/h the locos were used for multi purpose. After around 30 years DB discharged the locos. 13 locos went to Italian users, seven were sold to swiss SBB for traction of work trains.

Heavy load operation:


F5 - Activates heavy load operation. The acceleration now takes noticeably longer and the diesel engine work harder.



Coast/Idle operation:


F12 - Activates Coast/idle operation. The engine speed goes to Coast/idle. This simulates, for example, a downhill ride or rolling without a trailer load.




Braking functions:


F17 - Brake function 1. The locomotive slowly brakes to a standstill with the sound of the brake valve.

F28 - Brake function 2 (emergency brake). The locomotive quickly brakes to a standstill.



Deactivate braking Sound:

F27 - Deactivates brake squeal Sound when the train stops. (4 different brake squeal sounds with CV162 value 0-3 selectable)


Station announcements:

F3 - station announcement # 1 (passenger train arrival): announcement can be selected with CV167: (0 = randomly generated announcement, 1 = Friedrichshafen, 2 = Hof, 3 = Würzburg, 4 = Bielefeld, 5 = Oldenburg, 6 = Kiel)

F4 - station announcement # 2 (passenger train departure): announcement can be selected with CV168: (0 = randomly generated announcement, 1 = Friedrichshafen, 2 = Hof, 3 = Würzburg, 4 = Bielefeld, 5 = Oldenburg, 6 = Kiel)

F14 - station announcement # 3 (nonstop train arrival): announcement can be selected with CV164: (0 = randomly generated announcement, 1 = Hamburg, 2 = Frankfurt, 3 = Cologne, 4 = Stuttgart, 5 = Lindau, 6 = Lübeck)

F18 - station announcement # 4 (nonstop train departure): announcement can be selected with CV165: (0 = randomly generated announcement, 1 = Hamburg, 2 = Frankfurt, 3 = Cologne, 4 = Stuttgart, 5 = Lindau, 6 = Lübeck)
